Wordpress multisite has way too many sessions

I'm working on a Wordpress multisite and the sites have accumulated millions of sessions in the databases, which I believe is slowing the admin page down. The sites definitely do not get nearly that much traffic, so something has to be creating the extra sessions. Is there a plugin that's known to create too many sessions?
