add meta query on woocommerce_order_itemmeta

I need to extend an existent search query provided by a warranty plugin. I want to query on woocommerce_order_itemmeta table but the WP_Query only allows me to query on postmeta. I know how to make the SQL request with the wpdb object but since the query already exists i'm a bit lost.
