Slider revulotion plugin - chinese letters instad of arrows

I'm creating a website which is using the Slider Revolution Wordpress Plugin.

I'm having an issue when the slider renders it is rendering the next and previous navigation arrows in Chinese characters.

Can someone please provide me with any information to why this is happening?
