Please help. Problems trying to use itunes on a wordpress site.

This isn't a question about specific code, because I can't make anything work so the solution could be anything.

CURRENT VERSIONS : Wordpress (4.5) / Creativo Theme (5.74)

What I want to do:

I'd like to display on a part of the page, all the albums from one particular artist, displaying the album cover and name with a list of the tracks next to each album.

What I've done so far.

  1. PLUGIN OPTION: I tried looking for a plugin that would display certain albums of an artist for whom I'm redoing a website. No such luck. The plugins I've found are used for playing popular music on a site, or displaying some random songs from an artist, but I want to dispay albums by one artist with the songs beside the album cover and a link to iTunes. Most of the iTunes plugins are very outdated and not working with current WP.
  2. API OPTON: I tried using the iTunes API — but the PHP code gets stripped out (I've tried using various PHP code insert plugins but none are working and most are not recommended with the current WP version. Ideally, I would use this if I was working on a site that wasn't done in Wordpress. Here is a list of plugins I've tried : Insert PHP (untested with current WP and updated 7 months ago), Custom css-js-php (should work, but doesn't, throws errors and doesn't do anything besides output the actual code without running it), My Custom Functions (allows for functions but not for calling them inside a post/page)
  3. ITUNES WIDGET BUILDER: Finally, this last option SORT OF works, but it doesn't allow much customization of the CSS/layout. Using the iTunes Widget Builder—http://ift.tt/1n9w7IX—means that I end up with several iframes on my wordpress page. This is a little clunky.

So I wonder if anyone has done something similar and might suggest a way out of this mess in which I find myself?
